ARHS works cooperatively with various community leaders and partners to review and compile health data for the Albemarle Region.

This data drives many of the community health initiatives in the region to encourage community and individual health. Below are reports listed to outline findings, along with links to various data reports depicting regional, state, and national health statistics.

Community Health Needs Assessment

Albemarle Regional Health Services completes a CHNA every three years. This report provides an overview of the methods and process used to identify and prioritize significant health needs in the ARHS service area. Findings from this report will be used to identify, develop and target initiatives to provide and connect community members with resources to improve the health challenges in their communities.


Healthy NC 2030 Scorecard

The Community Health Improvement Scorecard is an easy way to learn about some of the efforts currently underway in the ARHS service area to address the health priorities identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).

Within the scorecard, a State-of-the-County's Health (SOTCH) Report can be found for interim years between each CHNA.  The SOTCH includes the following:

  • tracks priority issues identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment
  • identifies emerging issues
  • highlights new initiatives
