The Public Health professionals and programs of Albemarle Regional Health Services are dedicated to disease prevention and the promotion of a healthy environment to reduce morbidity, mortality, and disability through quality service, education, and advocacy.
The ARHS district model serves as a shining example of regionalization and what true Public Health Champions can accomplish when they work together. This district model would not be possible if it were not for our eight-member counties:
ARHS partnerships stretch far and wide and we are so thankful for so many agencies who serve as Public Health Champions throughout our communities. Agencies range from our schools systems to cooperative extension, colleges and universities, other county agencies, and so many more.
